Using the Account Proposals Tab

The Account Proposals tab displays all of the proposals with a status of Sent to Producer or later that are associated with active submissions assigned to the account.

Note: If any quotes in a proposal are associated with an active submission, the entire proposal will display. For example, if a proposal has Quote1 associated with Submission1 that is Clear, and Quote2 associated with Submission2 that is declined, the proposal will display.

The proposals on this tab display as folders that contain quotes.You can expand proposals by clicking the arrow icon (>) next to the proposal name to reveal the quotes that are part of the proposal, or you can click the arrow icon for an expanded proposal to collapse the quote rows and display only the top-level proposal row.

You can sort any of the columns by clicking on the column header.

The proposal row for each proposal in the grid displays aggregate data about the quotes that the proposal contains. Specifically, the proposal displays the following information:

• #: Proposal number. (This value is not aggregated. It is stored at the proposal level.)
• Description: Proposal description entered by the user who created the proposal. (This value is not aggregated; it is stored at the proposal level)
• Date Sent: Date that the proposal was sent to the Producer. (This value is not aggregated; it is stored at the proposal level)
• Summary: if the proposal contains only one quote, the Summary (deposit and commission percentages) for that quote; if it contains more than one quote, this column is blank.
• Status: Proposal status of the quote that has progressed farthest in the workflow. If there are multiple quotes, the number of quotes that have reached that status displays. For example, if 3 quotes in the proposal have a status of Bound, the Status column displays “Bound (1 of 3).”
• Premium: Total premium of the quotes.

Creating New Proposals

Click Create Proposal to create new (empty) proposals. You can then drag and drop quotes into the new proposal.

Deleting Proposals

Drag a proposal to the trash can icon to delete the proposal. (You can only delete proposals that have not been sent to the Producer.

Moving Quotes from One Proposal to Another

You can move a quote from one proposal to another (by drag and drop) if the following conditions are met:

• Both quotes have not yet been sent to the producer and are not withdrawn.
• Both quotes are associated with submissions that have the same producer.

Merging Proposals

You can merge two proposals by dragging and dropping one proposal onto another. When you do so, the effect is the same as if you drag and drop each of the proposal’s quotes onto the target proposal and delete the source proposal.

The merged proposals must therefore not yet have been sent to the Producer, and they must be associated with submissions that have the same Producer.

Reordering Quotes

You can also reorder quotes within a proposal by dragging and dropping them to a different location within the proposal folder.

Opening Quotes and Proposals

Double-click a quote or a proposal to open it. If you open a proposal that contains multiple quotes, each quote displays in its own tab.
