Using the Policy Tab

The Policy Tab includes all endorsements for the related submission. The top item in the list is the Issued policy (or policies). The policies display the premium at issuance. If the submission includes multiple policies, the endorsements indicate which policy they are endorsing.

The Policy tab includes the following information about each endorsement:

• Policy The policy number that is associated with the endorsement.
• Endorsement #: The endorsement number.
• Effective: Endorsement's effective date; this value is a date between the submission's effective date and expiration date.
• Description: Description of the endorsement (maximum of 255 characters).
• Status: Status of the endorsement: Draft, Submitted, Pending Issuance, Issued, or Closed.
• Issuance: Date the endorsement was issued.
• Prem. Change: Any additional return premium resulting from the endorsement; if this value is negative,the premium is reduced as a result of the endorsement.
• Pol. Premium: Policy premium; for endorsements, this value is calculated by adding the endorsement's premium change to the premium of the currently issued proposal.

By default, the list is sorted by policy number, and then by effective date. You can change the sort order by clicking on a column header.

Creating or Opening Endorsements

You can request a new endorsement from this tab by clicking Request Endorsement, or open existing endorsements by double-clicking the endorsement you want to open.

Note: The Request Endorsement button is disabled if an endorsement exists in any status other than Declined or Issued. Only one open endorsement can exist at a time.
