Uploading Submissions from an Agency Management System

You can upload submissions to Geaux from an agency management system, such as AMS. This feature enables you to manage your submissions on your own Agency Management System and submit them to multiple Carriers from there. It also allows you to export the submissions to Geaux for Carriers who are using Geaux so that you can use all of Geaux features when submitting to those Carriers.

Requirements

Before you can upload submissions from the agency management system, you must do the following:

To upload a submission from your agency management system:
  1. Create a submission using your agency management system.
  2. When you are ready to upload the submission to Geaux, select the Carrier for which you want to upload the submission, and then use the Upload to Carrier feature in your agency management system to upload it. (This carrier must have previously configured Geaux to accept business from your Agency/Brokerage. If your Agency/Brokerage is not configured or you do not have a valid Geaux user account, Geaux will reject the upload.)

    When the upload is successful, a Web browser launches the Geaux Agent Workspace, which displays the Overview tab for the draft submission you uploaded. You will receive an automatic e-mail message from Geaux to indicate that the submission was uploaded to Geaux. Geaux does not automatically submit the application to the Carrier. You must verify that the information on the Overview tab and the Application tabs is correct and complete and then manually submit it to the Carrier (by clicking Submit on the Application tab).

    If you upload the same submission more than once, the new uploads exist as new drafts in the Agent Workspace; they do not overwrite an existing submission. You can delete any unwanted drafts. (You cannot delete a submission after you have submitted it.)

    Note: Only the user who uploads the submission can modify it. The uploaded submission is read-only for all other users.

  3. Review the information on the Overview tab and update or complete any necessary information.
  4. Click the Application tab. The fields that you completed before you uploaded the submission are complete, but you must complete the submission by entering information in all required fields (marked with a red asterisk [*]). The Geaux application forms may include fields that did not exist in your original submission form, so you may need to complete additional information before you submit the application.

  5. When you are ready, submit the application to the carrier by clicking Submit on the Application tab. A message displays in your What's New list to indicate that the carrier has received your submission.
