Submission statuses

The status of a submission changes as the workflow progresses. Statuses are listed and described in the general order in which they occur.

Submission Status	Description
Draft	Submission is in an initial form and has not been submitted for underwriting. Agents can view draft submissions that an insurer is creating on their behalf. Insurers can view drafts that an agent has not yet submitted by filtering for submissions from that agent. Draft submissions are categorized by creation method.
Submit Pending	Submission has been submitted before the date the insurer is ready to process it. On the date the insurer can accept the submission, the system automatically submits it.
Submitted	Submission has been updated to include all required information and has been submitted for underwriting.
Clear	Insurer has performed clearance, and no matching active submissions have been found in the system. A Clear submission may not be ready for underwriting if prerequisites (such as submission data entry, modeling, or other analysis work) are not complete.
Clear-Ready	Submission has been cleared and is ready to be worked on by an underwriter.
Clear (Awaiting Rates)	Submission has been cleared and the insurer has attempted to get a rate, but the rates are not yet available. This sub-status is valid for both the Clear and Clear-Ready statuses.
Not Clear	Insurer has performed clearance and found a matching active submission in the system. Insurer must later clear or decline a submission that has a status of Not Clear.
Quoted	Insurer has prepared a quote and sent the proposal to the agent.
Declined Quote	Agent has declined binding.
Bind Requested	Agent has requested binding.
Bound	Coverage has been bound.
Withdrawn	All quotes have been withdrawn after being sent.
Pending Issuance	Data has been sent to a policy administration system and a response is expected.
Issued	Binder has been issued and a policy number is assigned.
Lost	Business was lost to another insurer.
Declined	Insurer has declined.
Rejected	Insurer has rejected the submission. A rejected submission is inactive but does not affect the declination ratio.
Cancellation Pending	Cancellation is pending (before it has been marked Canceled).
Canceled	Cancellation was pending and has reached the cancellation date.
Pending Renewal	The system has automatically initiated a renewal or an insurer has requested a renewal.
Renewed	Submission has been renewed.
Non-Renewed	Submission has been marked as Non-Renewed.
Expired	The policy term has ended and the submission was not submitted for renewal, non-renewal, or cancellation.
Referred	The submission was referred to another user.
